• 62 Grain – A heavier bullet for more accuracy at longer ranges. It’ll allow you to hit those prairie dogs from a distance.
• Green Tip LAP (M855) – Contains a steel core and tip that allows it to penetrate better. It is NOT classified as an armor-piercing round, however.

Which is more deadly, 5.56 or 223?

The 223 has less holding capacity for gunpowder in the cartridge. This contributes to less power and often less damage.

Why can’t you shoot green-tip ammo at some gun ranges?

Because of the steel tip and penetration ability, green tip ammo is often banned at gun ranges as being unsafe. They can also do a significant amount of damage to targets. Always check the rules before you bring green-tip ammo to a gun range.
